XA/Calsim Edition
The XA Professional Linear Programming System is copyrighted and licensed software from Sunset Software Technology. The XA Solver software is available in two different forms, 1) Dongle version or 2) License File version. You only need one version depending upon you needs, both versions produce identical results.
1) The ‘Dongle’ version requires the Sentinel SuperPro Dongle plugged in your USB or parallel printer port for the XA Solver to run successfully. The ‘Dongle’ version of XA may be shared with different users, moving from computer to computer, but only one user at a time may be using the Dongle. The ‘Dongle’ is shipped when Sunset receives your purchase order.
To download the ‘Dongle’ Version of the XA Solver:
2) The ‘License File’ version requires an activated license file for the XA Solver to run successfully. The ‘License File’ version is specific to a single computer; the one used to create the license file and will not work on different computers. The first time Calsim is run an un-activated c:\xa.lic file is created. You must email this license file to Sunset Software Technology for activation. The ‘License File’ is activated when Sunset receives your purchase order. To download the ‘License File’ Version of the XA Solver:
Just download the file and update the \calsim\bin directory with xav13.dll and xav13.lib.
